Well it didn't come out as well as I thought, but it should be a decent guide. I used bright red hose on mine, as you can see. There are 4 lines to replace in total

1) runs from the turbo bypass valve to the throttle body. In the pic that's the long one that runs along the intake pipe.

2) runs from the PCV valve (near where the motor says SAAB) to the throttle body. This actually two hoses because there is the check valve in the middle. I broke the check valve when I replaced this hose so it might be a good idea to have another one handy (OEM from eeuroparts.com or a generic from autozone etc)

3) runs from the fuel pressure regulator to the throttle body. the FPR is kind of buried under the intake pipe but it's there. It's at the end of the fuel rail which on my car is a big black line wrapped in some kind of gauze tape.

4) runs from the MAP sensor to the throttle body. This one I didn't replace for reasons detailed earlier in this thread, so there's no red line in this pic. The MAP sensor sits on the black bar that runs across the engine close to the passengers. You can see a little black box on the passenger side of the bar with a larger electrical connection & the smaller black vacuum line coming off it in this pic - follow that line to the throttle body.

REM in Seattle also has a good writeup of the vacuum lines, you can search the archives for that.

Lastly there's the line (not technically a vac line) that runs between the throttle body and the ELCD purge valve. I didn't replace it but lots of folks do. 99 was a transition year so there's two places it could be on your car - search the archives for that stuff you should be able to find it real easy.

hope this novel helps you get some locomotive power back in the saab!!!
