I have an stage 4 ECU from john in my 00' 9-3 and my engine still has the "weak Pistons" and my car has run reliabley, still making 178-185 lbs on all pistons
for over 2 years now.
Just do tha basic maintenance and you should be good.
I think if you change the pistons in an OG 9-3 and have a BOMB proof motor thats the way to go...IMO
In my opinion they are all good
