Theft Alarm Battery Dying

It's 3 a.m. My 2002 9-3 SE's theft alarm battery just made its imminent death known for the first time at 1:30 am. Words cannot describe my frustration ith the engineering minds (and I use that term loosely) that came up with that system. It is simply inane beyond description.
I really don't need any advice, help or sympathy on this one. Already went through it with my 9-5 a couple of years back. At about the same hour of the night. Just the absolutely single most stupid, inane, cretinous feature or by-product of a feature on any car ever built.
With any luck profuse apologies to my immediate neighbours accompanied by bottles of not-so-cheap wine will keep a $1500+ police citation for noise violation from being pressed into my hands. As for the rest of the neighbourhood, I will simply have to suffer their glares, snickers and snorts of "It's a 'Saab' HA!") in humiliated, dignified silence. Sigh...
SAAB = STUPID ALARM ALWAYS BLARING
