Teh plug change is easy. You will find the porx driver in your trunk tools that will let you pull the DI out. For the plugs, you will need a ratchet wrench, a 12" extension, and a spark plug socket. Also, you need a "gapper".
Total cost for tools, depending on whether you buy a set or individual, about $25. If you need guidance, people here can provide it. Personally, I might swap the plugs first... see how it runs. If it's not good get a DI.
You may have other issues, like the idle air control... but you need to cover the basics first.
