actually it suggest +-2000 miles in the warranty information
heres the warranty info
Camshaft Drive Belt Replacement V6 Engine Only
Replacement of the belt and the labor associated with the replacement is free of charge and must be performed by an authorized Saab dealer. The remaining cost of the scheduled service(s) is the owner's responsibility.
The camshaft drive belt on V6 engines must be replaced at the following mileage intervals -
(Must be prior to 100,000 miles.):
900/9000 1994 - 1996 35,000, 65,000, 95,000
900/9000 1997 65,000
1998 N/A
9-5 1999 - 2003 60,000

21521 / 78 / 0 / 08 / 01
Labor Operation
See STM 21521XX- R&R Timing Belt (Add 0.2 straight time for the belt/tensioner kit when replaced on a MY 94-97 vehicle)
Note: Services should be done within 2,000 miles of the scheduled service as referenced in the Warranties and Service Record Booklet. It is not required that a scheduled service be performed to qualify for the no charge timing belt replacement
