The problem with a new belt is that it's not too flexible. Removing the air filter and passenger wheel will help thread the belt on the crankshaft pulley. I work from the water pump, power steering and a/c unit, then the crankshaft pulley, alternator and finally the tensioner. Don't forget that the ribbed part of the belt meshes with the ribbed pulleys and the flat side of the belt runs on the flat pulleys.
Removing and replacing a used belt is much easier... Ron
