The same thing happened to me recently. The radio is
hitting the metal cage that it slides into. After removing my own radio several times for assorted reasons, I found that I couldn't get past a certain point without hitting this cage the last time I tried to do it. After taking a close look at a parts car cage and radio I discovered that a tab on the cage was bent down ever so slightly to snag on the radio's back edge as I pulled it out. I slipped a metal spatula between the top of the radio and the cage, thus pushing the tab up just enough for the radio to slide out easily. It had me stumped for hours before I finally figured it out. I bent up the tab after I got the radio out and that took care of the problem. Let us know if this worked for you.
