I was having an intermittent no start situation with my 1996 convertible. Replaced plugs, swapped DICs, etc. Finally it wouldn't start at all. Ordered a replacement CPS, took forever for it to actually arrive and installed it this weekend. Voila, it now runs again. Must say, the actual replacement was much more difficult on my 9-5s. For one thing the wire is routed differently and connects to a cable wrapped connector on the harness that is between the DIC and the throttle body. Second, the part that goes into front side of the motor is right next to the flex pipe, which on my car is starting to shed the wrapper that goes around the flex area, which makes the job sort of painful, as little pieces of metal wires stick out and stick into your hands while trying to guide to T30 screw. Anyway, happy it is done and the car is back on the road.
