Those would be the top bushings. The lower ones are mushy rubber, and are resonsible for much of the torque steer that folks experience with the turbo engine, especially the Viggen. The are urethane units available that improve things.
I have 113000 miles on a 95SET with the same bushings, but no problem yet. I try to avoid pot holes and other road hazards. Do you feel that your Saab has been exposed to some bad road condtions that may have contributed to your problem? I understand that the bushing problem is quite common, and I wonder why I have not had such problems.
