The group 35 is too tall, not from a fit standpoint, but because the ground cable isn't long enough to reach the top of the taller battery. It really needs a group 47 which I'll get next week. In the meantime I put in my Optima marine starting battery which is a group 34. The 34's are the right size but the terminals are reversed. I was able to turn the Optima around and cross the cables since the posts are close to the center of the battery.
