The WIS for my '99 specifies 15 lb-ft for the clamp bolts. If you back the car up onto ramps you should have plenty of room. When I changed my exhaust years ago I only backed the car up to the edge of the garage that had a slight angled drop off.
The exhaust is a pretty easy DIY, the only thing I remember wishing I had was a block or bucket to hold the middle pipe up as I was hanging the rear pipe. I was too lazy to slide back out from under the car to get one.
