Replacing the pump does not replace the check valve that holds the pressure. That valve is in the fuel line that connects to the pump. That being said, your car may be a bit sensitive to fuel blend changes. You could have a minor air leak that is causing the fuel/air mixture adaptation to be a lttle lean.
Has the water pump been replaced? That clamp for the turbo downpipe has to be just right. A hair dryer is cheaper than a Tech2, but there is a good reason for that.
