Quick hopefully easy question on oil pan removal? Posted by Nicholas [Email] (#2995) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nicholas) on Thu, 14 Jun 2012 15:54:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was asking about this before, and someone mentioned I'd have to "drop the subframe" to remove the oil pan on my 2000 9-3. I'm not sure what that means, but I'm trying to remove it now. I know the exhaust needs to be dropped and have done that before. However, I notice this big piece of frame that one of the arms of the front wheel attaches to. The oil pan extends above that. Does this really have to be removed or moved, or can I work a wrench in the gap and slide the oil pan out and then back in? If it has to be removed, any idea on how? Thanks much!
