I didn't mean this as an unpaid ad! With all the discussion on misfire codes and remanufactured di cassettes, I thought I would share our experience. Of course, before spending money on a new di, try spark-plugs. Get the correct ones, NGK, not anything else. If that fixes it, great. If not, buy a genuine Saab DI. Don't forget to apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the metal top of the spark-plugs. I repeat, the used di cassettes we have all have set check engine lights! I use them when I need a known "good enough to start a car" di. Our experience with the remanufactured di cassettes has been bad. My opinion, for what it's worth. Occasionally misfire codes can be from a vacuum leak so if the misfire is accompanied by some other "too lean" code, find and fix the vacuum leak and hope for the best. Dan at Road Tested Saabs
