to answer your other question: how come when you press night panel do some instruments go down.
the idea is borrowed from saab's fighterplane cockpits. it's to take all distraction away from the driver unless it's really important. so imagine you are on a long drive at night time. and press this mode. the cockpit goes black except for your speedometer. even that will only be lit up to about 100mph i think. unless you go over that speed, then the rest of it lights up.
meanwhile all other instruments like turbo boost and fuel go dark. not only unlit but the needles just drop (if it's truly night, you don't even notice that... you must be looking during the day, which doesn't make sense).
they only light back up (and the needles go back up) when there's a reason to do so. like if you have low fuel, then that light comes on for sure, and you'll see that guague come back online.
you don't REALLY need to know rpm on a long night drive. and you don't need to know water temp is normal... unless it's NOT. that's how night panel works... only the most important info shown, everything else is noise and turned off unless needed. try it at night. you'll see.
it's an unnecessary but cool feature.
have fun.
