My son 2001 Saab 9-3 with an automatic. The car runs extremely well without any issues. However, once in awhile the car gear selector on the dash showing "P" but you can still drive the car in 1st 3 gears and in Limp mode. What he been doing is turn off the ignition and turn on the ignition back on and start the engine and go the gear selector is now working again... Of course the CEL code and light is on from the Limp mode, but he can go through all the gears without any issues with an exception of the light... The light eventually will go off after a few days...
I have no clue on where to look.... Please help.
Thanks,
Rick
