Don't run high & low beams at the same time...

I had a tendency to pull the high beam stalk back half way to leave the low beams on while turning the high beams on...makes for excellent visibility when there aren't other cars around...but turns out that doing this will overheat a small piece of plastic in the switch housing & that piece melted. This problem made the high beams stuck on, even with the car off! I pulled the orange relay, but of course that didn't fix the problem. I was able to disassemble the switch & rig up a fix instead of buying a new switch; they're anywhere from $30-100.
Just a heads up for everyone!
