Here's what worked for me... Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Fri, 8 Mar 2013 09:36:40 In Reply to: Viggen - not boosting like it used to (long), 01viggenguy, Thu, 7 Mar 2013 17:21:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I disconnected the top hose connection (marked with an "R") on the boost control valve, plugged the hose, but left the nipple open on the valve. Boost came back... instead of 10 psi max was hitting about 19 psi (I'm running a JZW tune). Replacing this valve isn't the fix if this works for you, it apparently points the blame to the one or more of the two check valves that are connected to that line. I've been told that I can drive the car like this no problem, but still weary of it. Nonetheless, buying new check valves should completely cure the problem, and still have a stock configuration. saab-tuners.com sells some trick aluminum ones, and I don't think they're any more expensive than getting factory ones. Good luck
