EBC 'Greenstuff' pads Posted by REM in Seattle [Email] (#4) [Profile/Gallery] (more from REM in Seattle) on Wed, 4 Oct 2000 12:06:35 In Reply to: Brake pad question, Bob, Wed, 4 Oct 2000 10:36:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have been using the EBC 'greenstuff' pads for about 4,000 miles on my 1998 900SET. The braking effort is excellent. The pads have a better initial bite, but are easliy modulated and are not grabby. There is very little dust. I have seen no signs of rotor wear.
My only complaint is a slight squeal when stopping from low speed (like in in parking lots). The squeal mainly happens when the brakes are hot. When I rotate the tires next time, I am going to make sure to apply hi-temp caliper grease to the caliper friction points. Maybe that will help.
