Hey Noel!
Just wondering how far you dug into the unit? It was pretty easy to remove the clutch plate, pulley & coil with the compressor still in the car. (Well, actually, I left the coil installed, but I did remove its snapring just to see how difficult it was; the coil also has an electrical connection that I didn't want to undo, so I just reinstalled the snapring.)
The bearing & clutch/coil are what I've read that everyone replaces. I'm just confused as to why there's no play in the pulley's needle bearing.
What's the shorter belt number? (Is this a NG900 part? eEuro only lists a single serp belt for the 9-3.) If it's time for a new compressor I might decide to go this route instead, at least for the immediate future.
