I got a shorter belt at a Federated Auto Parts store. Like a NAPA, but I don't have a NAPA nearby.
It's number is 6PK1800. Replaces a Dayco 5060710 or a Gates K060710 (71" belt). It is a little tight, IMHO, so a belt maybe 1/2 an inch longer might be better.
I didn't remove the pulley, but it has no play. Definitely the bearing in the compressor. With the engine running I could see the pulley moving up and down. It spins fine on its own. And the sound was a deeper rattle than a pulley going south.
Where are you finding the clutch, bearing, plate, and coil? And how much money?
