The job is pricey if you pay for it but the parts themselves aren't all that terrible, considering you'll probably only have to do it once. I found the link below from a company that is in the biz of making/selling this stuff for lots of verts. Looks like you can get the parts for a '03 or later Saab for about $1400. A rebuilt pump is another $400. A couple folks here have used this company and said they have good products.
I don't know how hard a job it is, but from what some here have said it's within the skill set of a good DIY wrench. I'd buy a vert with failed hydraulics if I knew I could do the repair. Bet you could carve out a sweet deal on a car that had top issues if you were willing/able to do the work yourself.
