CEL, P0132 and P0138 codes, stumble, no passing inspection Posted by camm [Email] (#191) [Profile/Gallery] (more from camm) on Tue, 31 Dec 2013 09:23:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Recently, while driving, my car has done this strange stumble at speed, typically while gently accelerating (or holding steady speed) in 4th or 5th at highway speed. Occasionally, it will stumble badly at around-town speeds, and, if I push the clutch in, the revs will fluctuate. Typically this happens 2-5 minutes after I start the car - almost never when it is freshly started, and almost never when it is fully warmed up. I should note that it just started happening when it started getting cooler out this fall.
On a couple of occasions, when it is stumbling, it has triggered a flashing CEL which does not stay lit. Sometimes, it triggers a steady-on CEL, which reports P0300 and the front and rear 02 sensor codes (I don't have my notes with my on the exact code.) Needless to say, I'm not passing inspection with that going on.
I've searched on this topic, but haven't seen any specific findings on this issue. Any suggestions out there?
*Edit* - the oxygen sensor codes are p0132 and po138 - 02 sensor high volts bank 1, sensor 1 and bank 1 sensor 2 respectively (Front and rear 02 sensor).
I pulled the data from the event, which happens every time I go out now, and the most recent event was as follows:
RPM: 1669
Load value: 43.1
Map Sensor: 84 KPA
Vehicle speed: 42 MPH
Coolant temp: 183F
Short term fuel trim 1: -25.6%
Long term fuel trim 1: 57.0%
Short term fuel trim 3: -100.6%
Long term fuel trim 3: 100.6
Fuel Sys 1: CLSD
Fuel Sys 2: N/A
DTC that caused freeze frame: P0301
Thanks!
