Thumping sound when turning left Posted by Bob E [Email] (#404) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bob E) on Mon, 24 Mar 2014 18:10:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2001 9-3 with 164K miles. This issue is very tough to diagnose. When making a gradual left turn, not a hard left turn, there is a thumping or bumping sound. Doesn't happen when driving straight and is coming from passengers side. Also doesn't happen when you hit a big bump. Everything is tight, strut mounts replaced about 6 months ago. The nut is tight on top of the struts in the engine bay. Everything from what I can see looks okay. Also no vibrations, or steering issues. Everything is very tight and smooth from a steering aspect. Anders suggested a loose shock insert bolt but that is tight. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks so much!
