Turbo lack of power on 2000 9-3 SE Posted by Thomas333639 [Email] (#1880) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Thomas333639) on Sun, 13 Apr 2014 19:17:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Suddenly, (as in from one day to the next) my Turbo lacks power. It occurred right after i installed a faulty ignition cassette which made my engine misfire all over the place. I've since replaced the ignition cassette with a new one, which is when i discovered the sudden lack of power. The only other thing that i did around this time was poor into the oil a container of seal rejuvenator (highly viscous looking oil-like substance, though the turbo worked fine immediately after that for a few days, until the change installation of the faulty ignition cassette).
The Turbo gauge needle will not go further than then the first (of three) section of the gauge (but it does consistently extend to just before the end of the gauge's first section, with a consistent boost in power, but there is a noticible lack of boost as compared to before. I've replaced the Boost Control Valve, which helped a little, but the gauge is still limited and the former power is missing.
Any ideas?
