Hello BillU
When the key is turned on, only the gauge lights come on, but NONE of the warning lights, including the battery warning light, come on and all the fuses have been checked. The turn signals work but the turn signal indicator lights do not light up.
I checked the exciter wire and found it is getting little to no voltage. 0 volts at idle and .5 volts when revved up to 2500 rpms.
Now I have removed the instrument panel as advised and the Battery Warning light appears to be good! I will, of course, change it anyway.
My question is, what are other things to look for before I put the instrument panel back together?
Also, if all else fails, can I run a new exciter wire from another source that only switches on when the key is turned on?
Thanks, Charles
