..Good info, thanks for sharing..Honestly i would say you are very lucky for some unknown reason. 8-10k oil change intervals is way to long in my opinion.There are MANY sludge victims out there that ran full syth oil and changed the oil about twice to your 1 time. Perhaps you got a "good" one:)..

How did you balance chain look or feel,; if you took a peak at it?..

Is the timing chain tensioner far less extended with the "rolled" in chain?..I wonder what all your plastic guides looked like for condition?..
