Many years ago, I ran one of the first AMSOIL ones on my Saab. Also ran one on my Dodge van. They worked well, as advertised.
On the newer cars, space became a real problem. In addition, had to weigh the cost of 5 qts and a filter as compared to Oil Sample plus probably qt of fresh oil and new standard filter.
All in all, think the economic feasibility of the bypass filter system is certainly there for fleets particularly those with diesel vehicles (although many of the newer --since 2007- diesels show excessive fuel dilution, which can negate the value).
So, in my Saab and Volvo turbos, I just plan to change the AMSOIL Signature Series oil annually (or about 15,000 miles)
This is an obviously biased reply, since I've been using and selling AMSOIL for over 35 years.
