I finally test drove it today. I was pleasently surprised with the feel of the car and the accelleration of the 2.3. It's got great pickup once it's revved. I think I'm hooked on Saab now.:) It handles much better then the Volvo S70 I drove last week. This car had a few problems though. The battery is dying on the car (which is why it started slow), it actually died after the test drive and couldn't be restarted. One of the headlights was out too and the dealer said it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Anyway, since the dealer won't budge on the price, I descided to look at other cars.
I test drove another SAAB today, a 97 SE Turbo with 52K. It was damn fast! It's almost too much power for me, but the engine was a bit smoother (at idle) on this one so it may be a better car. There were no problems as far as I could tell. It's priced at $17,999, but I'm going to try and chew the dealer down a bit. It's out of warranty also.
Neither of these cars has the CD changer and the dealer said the Clarion unit is no longer available (?). Where can I get the CD changer cheap?
