Steering wheel off-center after parking Posted by crawdad [Email] (#1867) [Profile/Gallery] (more from crawdad) on Sat, 14 Mar 2015 18:55:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I park on a hill, turning the front tires to the left so the back of the right front tire would rest against the curb if the car drifts backward for some reason. When I return and start driving, the steering wheel is off to the left (counterclockwise) about 40 degrees. It drove fine and when I got home, I checked the front suspension and noticed nothing bent, loose and no stripped threads on the tie rod adjuster. Not surprising since I didn't use much force turning the wheel against the curb. Could I have twisted something in the steering column?
