Do the work with the engine cold. Spray some penetrating lube down into the plug recesses and let it soak for 1/2 hour before you remove the plugs.
If you're not used to doing this job, this significantly reduces the chance of damaging the threads.
Use anti-seize on the plug threads and low-strength lock tight on the DIC bolts, just friendly tight on the DIC bolts.
