I ordered this part from FCP Euro - confirmed the correct Volvo p/n - and it was not a perfect fit. The threads on the OME radiator petcock are M12 x 1.75. On this Volvo part, it wanted to cross thread as I tried to insert it. I took it to Ace Hardware and tried both metric and SAE nuts on it. With the OME petcock, a M12 x 1.75 nut threaded easily. The Volvo part does seem to be M12, but it's not 1.00, 1.25, 1.50 or 1.75 thread. It's strange, because when I placed it up against the threads for the OME, broken petcock, they seemed to match perfectly. I bought two of the Volvo petcocks, since they're cheap, and just in case I broke the first one, but neither of them would accept an M12 x 1.75 nut. So it's not like one had a manufacturing defect and the other was OK. I'm frustrated. I ended up putting my broken petcock back into the radiator. It works.
