Sounds almost more like pinging.
When I reset adaption on the 9-3/9-5 cars and take them for a test drive, the very first acceleration down the road creates a rapid pinging and a, more or less, cloud of black smoke which I assume is carbon deposits breaking free.
Next time the Trionic have recalculated and it doesn't happen again.
In your case it could be a couple of things.
Bad gasoline, bad airmass meter, spark plugs or ignition cassette.
Maybe get someone with a Tech 2 and monitor airmass meter correction value during acceleration and see if it goes into negative territory.
