2001 Saab Clutch Naster Cylinder Removal
Posted by Name Left Blank (more from Name Left Blank) on Tue, 14 Jan 2020 20:48:57
I started to replace the clutch master cylinder which seemed fairly easy as I'd performed this task a few times on the OG900 models. That was until I discovered the unit is removed from the inside with the hold down bolts under the dash. I removed the lower fascia and simply can't figure out how this was fastened at the factory except maybe with the dashboard out of the vehicle. Even the cable unit in my daughter's '98 was easier than this appears to be. As quirky as some engineering is on a Saab, this appears to be impossible with little thought on how to perform this procedure besides divine intervention. Any clues would be most appreciated.
