The only difference in the throttle bodies is the size of the PCV port. The later TB uses a much larger pcv port and check valve that evacuates a much larger oil separator box on the back side of the block. The larger box uses a large hole in the block to evacuate the crankcase oil vapors. So to take advantage of the later TB you would need the later block with the hole.
