i'm completely flummoxed.
neither seat will move using the seat switches.
recap - i believe the wires at the back of the passenger seat that run to the seatback adjust were shorting out against each other. when I put the relay in that seat and moved the fore aft, the seat moved. when i moved the seatback switch, that's when both seats quit working.
at this point I have:
- power to 30A fuses
- power to plugs going into each seat (drivers and pass seat)
I have tried a spare relay for the pass seat but I can't get at the drivers seat relay because it is too far back and there's no room to move.
Cant find a wiring diagram for the passenger seat but think I have one for the drivers. however I can't tell which motor in the drivers seat is the fore-aft adjustment. this diagram says that motor is blue/blue white wiring but I can't see a motor with that color, they all seem to be green green white or yellow/yellow white.
if a guy could create a seat motor plug with power and ground connected, could I just plug it into the motor that I want to make move?
how on earth can both seats fail at the same time yet there is power to each seat?
I've tried pulling the memory switch as well, no luck.
TIA for any suggestions!
Wayne
