yes Aaron i completely agree with you on all points. my mechanic will let me supply the parts, he's a retired mechanic working from home with a hoist. he also understands how hard it can be to get parts so would rather I do it!!!
I'll prolly order most if not all suspension parts from R and D in Holland. the exchange rate buying into the USA is a killer, plus import duty and brokerage not to mention shipping totals to an insane price.
I'd considered Koni's but again very expensive. This is not going to be a killer car by any stretch so no need to blow the budget especially in these strange times we are in.
Got the heads up on the bushings, from my mechanic as well. and have picked up a couple of new control arms in case they are needed when its all torn down.
what spec's are you running in terms of wheels and tires?
if you want, email me directly and we can take this off line and compare notes. There are not too many of our cars around, I gather.
