Can anyone explain how the "piece of wood treatment" lets air percolate out of the system? A variation on this method has worked form me multiple times, wedging the pedal all the way down to the floor, but I can't visualize why.
My problem is that air seems to get getting in, again and again, without any loss of fluid -- a one-way air leak, like a sucking chest wound.
Originally the slave blew, fluid drained. All clutch components and slave were replaced, but mechanic couldn't get pedal to feel right. No matter how much bleeding he did, clutch was engaging just off the floor.
Since master was only thing left, he replaced that too, but it made no difference.
A second shop has tried their hand at bleeding, with no improvement. Clutch barely works for a couple weeks, and then this morning can't shift at all, Viggen is parked with wood treatment in progress...
I'm guessing some flaw with slave or related hose, and that the whole thing has to be torn out again
