Ops! I succeeded in locking myself out of my '00 9.3 CV trunk while reinstalling the electric motor on the trunk lock mechanism. The motor is nonfunctional. I removed the 1" white plastic "pin" from the triangular plate the the motor shaft connects to. This apparently does not permit the lock assembly to align properly at the pivot point and thus the key will not open the latch. The key turns normally and I hear the mechanism moving inside of the trunk but the latch is not moving as it should.
My question is, is there any "magic buttton" on the latch mechanism which, when pressed, would cause it to open? I'm of course, working via the ski pass-thorough.
