1997 900s non turbo
I got a 1124 error yesterday after replacing an "original" Canister purge valve.
I didn't think i inadvertently pulled off a hose on the throttle body nipple while installing the purge valve.
Today i pulled off the plastic box cover on the throttle body and followed the purge valve hose. it was properly attached.
I then looked at each hose and found that the thin (?silicone?)hose that comes from the Pvc valve (at the valve cover) was not connected at the far side end. Given the length of it it seems like it should be attached near the Throttle body.
Looked on this site for guidance and learned there are 2 ( almost hidden) small nipples under each of the 2 big hoses going into the throttle body. the passenger side nipple has a thin hose that attaches to near the d/s fuel rail. strangely -The nipple pointing to car's front has a black rubber cap on it.
Is that where the far side of the thin pvc valve hose should have been attach or is there some where else i need to be looking??? IIRC my old 1986 900s had its thin pvc hose attach to that front throttle body nipple albeit it wasnt hidden like on this 1997
thanks in advance
jim
