Thanks Anders, great to hear from you.
I used the trunk access and jack handle approach to raise the unlocked tonneau cover. It went up to about 50 degrees, almost completely open but not quite far enough for the 5th bow and lower window frame to clear and fold into the bag. It's propped open but I believe it will close freely. There was some resistance as it opened but it moved. I have not removed the black liner and thus cannot see the entire hose lines nor pistons. I'm not sure where the tonneau piston is located except it's on the passenger side. I looked carefully on both sides and see no evidence of leaking fluid. The two micro switches visible near the the backrest of the back seat(Tonneau latch) appear OK. There are no messages on the SID regarding the top. I do recall that some years ago, a local SAAB-Volvo shop replaced the shear pin with a solid machine screw and nuts.
If a tech II would reveal more specific error information, perhaps I need to take it in for a reading as I have only an OBD II. I'm trying to avoid completely opening up the liners to see the cylinders.
Oh, and my WIS version will only open in Swedish. I experienced this issue once before and managed to change the setting to English, but now can't seem to remember how it did it. Hjälp snälla
Ray
