Hello forum,
Since high school I have ever only on Saabs. Until about 2013, my first Saab was when I was 14 in high school. My first sub was an 87 900 turbo convertible. From there I branched out and had a number of NG 900s, OG nine threes Dash my favorite, 95 -V6 turbo, a 91, 9000 turbo ( my favorite singular car) . My last two subs for owned in unison a 1999, Saab 9–3, S, manual, trans, and a 1998 Saab 900 SE turbo convertible with a manual trans. Living circumstances dictated that it was not financially feasible to on a vehicle after that time.
My current living circumstance would be made easier with the acquisition of a car. And I want to Saab. My heart belongs to the old generation nine – threes with a stick shift of course! But I only have space for one car, how realistic is it to drive a decent one every day. I do love a Viggen- and appreciate it as the best of a generation. But what is the best OG 93 to drive every day currently?
I am open, and slightly tempted to take the plunge on the latest model of your 93 with the right specification and no rust that I can find. Though my experience with that generation is limited to basic exposure through maintenance and guest drives. What is the best choice for me to balance every day use ability Dash and parts availability. It should be noted that I am not in the dark that an older Saab will cost more to keep on the road, and I am willing to do it, within reason if the parts are actually in fact available. Thank you in advance for your insight.
