Viggen Exhaust/Motor Mount Issues Posted by Prodigal_SAAB [Email] (#3557) [Profile/Gallery]

Guys I got my engine back months ago with the new Wossner 91's and their remains a problem. The engine itself is just fine and runs like a beast. However... My friend and I had tightened up the rubber exhaust loops near the center muffler when the exhaust was hitting and determined that the long flex pipe was indeed, toast. By tighten I mean we twisted them to reduce movement. We fitted a new flex pipe and unfolded the rubber loops.
So anyway all mounts have been replaced but after re-centering the exhaust there's still too much movement in the exhaust it's knocking somewhere somehow and the car feels "gravelly" through the shifter you can feel it on and off-boost. And under full load the exhaust just BOOMS through the cabin it's quite annoying.
My mechanic swears it's not the motor mounts but I swear that it *IS* another bad mount. He was talking about a cracked intercooler but that would not make my shifter feel gravelly no way. And the intercooler appears clean as a whistle and no performance issues at all. Should I just take it to another shop for diagnosis because this is getting OLD fast.
