replacing an airbag that blew spontaneously

Back in 2021, the airbag in the passenger seat of my 1999 9-3 deployed spontaneously. A mechanic I trust spelled out two options to replace it: 1) if a new airbag can be sourced, work with an upholstery shop to replace the airbag and stitch up the seat, and a mechanic to reprogram the system, or 2) source a used seat and skip the upholstery shop.

I got excited when I saw this one https://www.ebay.com/itmtoo/165601887050 on eBay for $360 with shipping vs. the $1000 plus for one from Sweden. Then I thought, given the history, would probably need or want the corresponding sensor at $160-ish and the junkyard seat is sounding better, if I could find one...

What is your experience or advice?
