Ask that they take it in for a frame inspection and alignment at a reputable shop. This cost my seller $280 or so if I remember correctly, including laser "something-or-rather," I can't recall :)
1) take a test drive at highway speeds and ensure that the car doesn't pull towards one direction. See how lane-changes feel...sometimes it won't pull consistently but only at certain steering angles. Do grooves in the road make this worse?
2) try to find one of those speedbumps in a car lot and drive over it (at normal! speeds) a few times. Do you here any abnormal squeeks or frame flexing? If you go over a bump diagonally, this will even become more apparent.
3) If it was a front end accident, you should take a look at the front of the frame under the car. Look at the thick bar that goes along the front width (from L to R side of vehicle.) If the accident was a pole hit or something, they probably welded the front-end back together. If this weld is close to one of the frame's corners, I would be more concerned, as this is where there will be more stress on the frame. My NG 900 was fixed with a strong and thick weld to the middle, and has handled beautifully. I have even test-driven non-salvage 900's and found mine to be at least as good.
As for resale value, you will get what you pay for, literally...most people are averse to buying salvage...
Good luck.
