C/V & Driveshaft are usually running noises Posted by Gerry [Email] (#1840) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gerry) on Thu, 16 Aug 2001 12:10:51 In Reply to: Re: Cv joints: Are there early warning signs, new struts?, kk, Thu, 16 Aug 2001 10:59:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If you hear noises when putting the car in gear, or just pulling away, it could be a motor or tranny mount. A C/V or driveshaft issue usually arises when driving at a few miles an hour of more. Could be the emergency brake locked on too - try parking overnight with the brake off and see if it clunks in the morning. Maybe pump the brakes a few times too to make sure it isn't a pad sticking.
