Ihave a 1998 900SET 5-door. It came stock with 205/50-16 tires, but I found that the 205/55-16 size offers more options in the all-season catagory and fit just fine.
Here would be recommended tires:
If you want to stay with all-season then I suguest either the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S or the Dunlop SP Sport 5000.
For a quiet touring type tire with some snow ability try the Yokohamam AVS dB.
For a high performance 3 season 'summer' tire (different tires will be needed for winter i.e. snow driving unless you live in southern California or Florida) the Michelin Pilot Sport or Potenza S-03 Pole Position are great tires.
