Clutch cable broke at work

After a very long 13hrs at work, I got into my Saab to find that I could not disengage reverse to start it up. I'm assuming that the clutch cable gave out because the clutch pedal is also dead. The last couple of weeks the clutch has been feeling real notchy and I can only assume this is the only warning sign. I also will not be able to look further into this until Tuesday afternoon so any advice on this fix would be well appreciated. Hopefully the problem is the clutch cable so I can fix it in the parking lot, if not then I’ll have to have it towed to the local shop.
