I've been getting the "low coolant" message on the SID (about 3X so far). Happens when I start the car after it has been sitting for a long time, overnight or for a few hours. The coolant level looks OK, and the car drives fine. The message does not appear when starting the car if it's still warm from a previous drive. The temperature gauge reads normal. I've heard that this gauge does not show actual temperature, rather that the temperature is either in the normal range, too high, or too low.
Bad sensor, perhaps?
Thanks all - JMJ
