I have an 900SE with 16 inch wheels, so the larger rotors should be fine. I figured if I had to replace the calipers and since the rotors are worn, why not upgrade to a better system. My thinking is like your's Jeff. I will try stopping by the Saab dealer to see if they can look up if the mounting holes on the strut arm are the same.
Dean- I have checked all of the moving parts to include where the ears or tabs on the pads sit. I don't know if it is possible, but I think either the mounting bracket or caliper is bent or stretched slightly.
